internet connection sharing

hello every one,
i am a newbie..i was using windows xp and have a 2 mbps internet connection..i was using ccproxy to share the internet connection between my computer and 2 other computers..i recently installed ubuntu 7.10 in my computer and i enabled the packet forwarding option in /etc/sysctl.conf file..i also installed firestarter firewall software and enabled internet sharing..The thing is i am still not able to get the connection in the windows systems..

1) Can someone please tell me the detailed procedure to share the internet in ubuntu including the commands to be typed etc..?

2) Also i need information as to how to configure the windows system to forward the packets through the ubuntu system..I tried the option Gateway server but is there any particular configuration to be done in firefox web browser that i am using in order for the internet connection request to go via the linux gateway..

Some one please help..If this doesnt work my linux days are over which ofcourse i dont want to happen because i have got fond of this cool operating system..Thanks in advance for any help

The answer to one is
http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...ection_sharing

The answer to two, don't know, but I'd guess make the linux box your default gateway on the windows box
