I'm running Manrake 10.1 official and KDE 4.3.
Let me say first of all that I've followed the how to on this and it don't work for me missus!
This is really annoying - I got my internet connection set up fine (cross over cable from my HP lappy to my windows based main pc - and could surf quite happily - however for whatever reason whilst my lan connection is up and running I can't access the internet (using firefox, konqueror or mozilla).
Here's what I've done so far: deleted the ethernet card connection - restarted lappy and readded the connection - choosing auto config where relevant, checked the ip address all appears to be ok.
Now - when I could surf ok at boot up the sequence halted whilst it went to detect the pc ethernet card and invariably came up as FAILED - once I got to the KDE desktop I had an icon that indicated I needed to connecte, naturally I chose the connect eth0 from the icon menu and off I went - of course now I've lost that icon which I guess refreshed the lan connection.
I think I need to clear all the ip related information via the konsole - but it's not like windows (doh!) so I don't know the commands.
Any help gratefull received...
