internationalization problems
 

Hello!

I set up my KDE with hebrew fonts and hebrew keyboard layout. The fonts appear clearly and I can type hebrew.

Here are my two problems so far:

1. keyboard shortcuts, such as ctrl+V and ctrl+c, do not work. I can ctrl+alt+k to change the keyboard layout, but that is it. I have latin layout enabled.

2. I am trying to print in firefox hebrew. The characters are printed, but the entire page is out of order and convoluted.

I don't know about the other problem, but for Firefox, make sure you go into View->Character Encoding->Auto-Detect and turn it off, then manually select the appropriate encoding for your area. If that is not working, try setting Auto-Detect to Universal.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I am trying to print out on a printer. The screen looks fine.

Lol. No, I appologize, I read a bit too fast it seems and missed the point. My bad. The only thing I can think of is that you should make sure the print service supports the Hebrew character set. And I really don't know if this will work, but maybe printing to PDF and then printing the PDF would work? But that could get annoying (if it works...) if you have to print a lot from firefox.
