Internal IDE 2nd 20 GB HD won't mount/open, can't rename it besides ./boot

I have an internal hard drive, and it won't open. I originally asked a friend to install linux for me, i have Fedora Core 4, and he decided to put some files in one HD, some in another. It didn't work. We put all files on one, and now this other one is named ./boot. If I try to change it, i log into root, and a window pops up saying it will take about 27 days to just rename this hard drive. Also, I can't open it, nor can I store any files. If I try to mount it, it says that it is already mounted. please help!  :Pengy:  :( :newbie:

Did you try (as root) editing /etc/fstab to chage "_path_/boot" entry to whatever you like, creating the new mountpoint (which you mentioned in fstab) with mkdir and rebooting? Or just to try you can "umount ./boot" before mounting the disk anywhere else.
