While booting,I pressed " I " but it doesn't ask the interactive mode?
it goes automatically as normal boot.

Are you talking about the grub/lilo bootup screen?

If so I cannot see an "I" option for either :(

In my FC2 box, on boot it asks to press I for interactive mode. If it is pressed, it gives three options - Yes, No, Continue - before starting every service present in rc.d folder. Otherwise, it starts every service accordingly without seeking our permission.

I have not seen such prompt in Fedora 10.

Just wanted to add one more thing. This interactive option appears in fedora 10 too. After grub menu, boot progress remains hidden and a thick blue and white bar appears in the lower portion of the screen. The white portion of the bar keeps increasing showing the boot progress.

Now if Esc is pressed on this screen, the bar disappears and then with other related text, an option of pressing 'I' to enter interactive mode is displayed.
