"intelligent mail" data in libary for barcode command?

I would like to be able to use USPS's impb, Intelligent Mail Package Barcode. I'm wondering if the libraries that feed the barcode command contain that stuff (assuming I have my own MID Mailer IDentification). The impb came out in 2011 and is a pain in the neck, as so many USPS things manage to be. I am running Ubuntu 12.04. I will appreciate any insights. I can do a little work on my own rather than buying one of these pricey packages that will do fifty times what I need done. Larry

Hi,

I think you could write a program using libzbar [1] and the IMPB specifications in Appendix D of [2].

Evo2.

1. See zbar-tools, libzbar, python-zbar etc packages in Ubuntu
2. https://ribbs.usps.gov/intelligentma...kageIMSpec.pdf

You may take a look this professional site. It provides many barcode generators to create Intelligent Mail, like Java Intelligent Mail barcode generator SDK, ASP.NET Intelligent Mail barcode generator SDK, etc.
