Smile intel (r) g45 Driver For Linux Backtrack


hello i am using backtrack 5 r2 on my dell inspiron 560 x64-based pc with a pentium (r) dual-core cpu e5400 @2.70GHz now please understand i am new with linux based systems such as bt5 my issue is how to distinguish what video driver to install as well how to install?
i am well aware of the video card which is a intel (r) g45/g43 express chipset.any and all responces to my VERY 1ST question in linuxquestions .org would be highly appreciated as well as your patience with the new kid on the block so with that said i will make my exit as i entered. thank you

The Intel driver should be installed by default on Backtrack.
Since you state that you are new to Linux, I would recommend to not use Backtrack at all. Backtrack is a specialized distribution, made from network and security experts for their work. It is not intended to be a desktop system.
While Backtrack may give some people the "1337-H4x0r" feeling it is not a distro that is aimed at the beginner, I would rather recommend to switch to Mint, PCLinuxOS or Mepis, may be Ubuntu (but I am not really recommending it).
