intel 945 xorg.conf help

Hello,
I just downloaded distro name supergamer which was sized 7.92GB. When i tried to run it on my machine I was unable to start X.I have a intel 945g vga controller.
This distro is based on vectorlinux 5.8.It has an old xorg release (X11R6.9).According to release notes this version supports 3d acceleration in i945.
As i have been playing with it to start X11 but have succeeded only partially.I have managed to startx using i810 driver but unable to get native resolution on my monitor(1680x1050).I am able to get only 1280x1024.Glxgears is able to get 25000 fps at 1280x1024.
Can somebody help me to tweak xorg.conf to get optimum performance on my machine. If u need more info about my machine please request it and I would kindly post it here.
Please please help me because it took about a week to download this distro.

I have never heard of "supergamer" but I see that vectorlinux 5.8 was released way back in 2006.

I can tell you for a fact that all modern distros (Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, etc.) have excellent support for your Intel 945g chipset without using an xorg.conf file (automatic detection/configuration). However, if you are serious about 3D gaming, you'll definitely want a dedicated graphics card such as Nvidia.

I second snowpine post.
Why have you chosen such a distro, if I may ask?
From the official site itself:
Quote:
SuperGamer is a games oriented Linux desktop operating system. It has all the normal Linux desktop applications such as the Firefox Browser, OpenOffice.org, etc., but also has a great many native to Linux games added, as well as some demos of proprietary games.
It seems like there's a Supreme Supergamer 2 distro released back in 2010, so I would first try that than the older one.

I have downloaded the latest version from the site which is SuperGamer 2.5.As for choosing this distro the answer would be,It has many 3d games that i would like to test .I am gather data for gaming in linux.I have already tried linux game live dvd but couldn't find a single interesting 3d game.I am gathering info on linux vs windows.I want see where linux is compaired to windows in gaming sector.
Please help me guys.I have already worked with it for almost more than a week .Just with little help I may succeed and I would contribute it to distro itself.
Lastly,I have a question !!
According to release note X11R6.9 did support 3d acceleration in i945g was it able to get optimum performance??
