I have never heard of "supergamer" but I see that vectorlinux 5.8 was released way back in 2006.
I can tell you for a fact that all modern distros (Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, etc.) have excellent support for your Intel 945g chipset
without using an xorg.conf file (automatic detection/configuration). However, if you are serious about 3D gaming, you'll definitely want a dedicated graphics card such as Nvidia.
