int modem installation woes

i've got this modem.. dont even know wht brand it is! some sorta winmodem using a motorola chip i think! how do i install it? i'm using redhat7.3! i'm a n00b & findin stuff a bit complicated @ sites like or somethin...

Well you will need to find out the model of your Motorola modem, and then check at to see if someone has released a driver for your modem.

If you find a driver, then it should contain a README file that guides you through the installation of the driver.

basically, no one can help you unless they know what the modem is exactly, and there is a possibiliy that your modem won't even woek on Linux, and you will need to buy a new one.
