Installing wvdial in ubuntu 9.04


When I try to install wvdial in ubuntu 9.04,it shows "You should add the dictory containing 'libwvstreams.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environmnt variable" How can i rectify this??Thanks in advance

How are you installing the package? Are you using synaptic? If not then use it.

applications - accessories - terminal

then type in su - enter and put in your password

and then the fun bit

apt-get install wvdial enter

sit back and watch

sudo will ask for user password.
Use synaptic. System > Administration > Synaptic.

I downloaded the packages and simply installed it using synaptic package manager. But in the newer version(karmic), its included..Its simply superb
