Installing Webmin


installing webmin ( post #4)

When i am trying to install webmin*.rpm i am getting the following error

warning: webmin-1.070-1.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 11f63c51
error: Failed dependencies:
/bin/sh is needed by webmin-1.070-1
/usr/bin/perl is needed by webmin-1.070-1

when i am trying to search for a soln. there was msg saying
try to build

rpm --rebuilddb

other downloading and installing the .tar file is there any other way to solve this problem

How did you get the file? If you're sure it's correct, you may use
rpm -i webmin-1.070-1.noarch.rpm --nodeps

The note about 'rpm --rebuilddb' was about *.src.rpm file. If you have problems, it's a good idea to get tar.gz version. it should work correctly on all machines.

Try adding --nodeps when installing through cli. Use this command rpm -i webmin-1.070-1.noarch.rpm to install. Go to the webmin site you might find help there.
