installing using apt-get


hi,
i use redhat 9. i do not have a media player or cd burning software on my system. so i thought of installing them . i used apt-get to install xine, mplayer , xcdroast. but could not install them. i even used rpms to install mplayer but couldnt do so. pls help me installing theese softwares using apt-get or any other method. should i configure anything in my os to run apt-get properly. thanx.

i know this does not really help solve your problem but red hat does not come with apt-get

though red hat doesnt come with apt-get i installed it from the freshrpms.net.
