can sumbody paleeeez tell me - in baby steps - how to install printer drivers? i'm running linux rh and i have a Epson stylus c42ux, i've tried using the printer config util but it duzn't have the driver i need listed, so i downloaded the driver from a site and i have it but i don't kno how to install it or what to do with it, it's frustrating the $h*t outa me!!! if u can help me please be specific in every little command or step. i'm soooo new at this, i'm used to the windows environment and i'm tryin ta make the switch to linux, it's more challenging... but i like that

yeah i understand what u feel.
it took me a whole day to configure my samsung ml 1430 printer for the first time.

first thing u should look at is
INSTALLATION / README file
included in the file you downloaded.
you can paste it here and ppl 'll help you through.

and also, you can search this forum
with "usb printer install" or similar search string.

most of time you will find the answer.
