Installing Ubuntu (Cd Burning)

I have heard lots of good things about Ubuntu Linux so i recently decided to burn a copy onto a CD and dual boot it with my windows vista the only problem is the CD installer provided on Ubuntu.com is larger than any CDs i have here at my house or at my local stores. Is there a way to install Ubuntu and dual boot with it? Please help me. Thank you for reading.

Sorry about any grammatical mistakes

I just checked one of the mirrors and all the .iso images are just under 700MB. Can you not get 700MB CD-R disks where you are?

I can but the problem is, Vista "prepares" the cd before i can do anything to it and the cd after that only has 650MB of memory left :-/

Use a different burning application?

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

This explicitly mentions burning on Vista so apparently it's not as impossible as you think.

This is quite a contrast to how I typically burn CDs in Linux:
Rt-click on the .iso file and select "burn to CD"

Anyone know what silliness Vista is doing here?
