Installing Ubuntu 10.10
 
I double click on the 'Install Ubuntu 10.10' icon on my desktop but it doesn't do anything. I quickly saw 'administrator . . .' on my bottom task bar it disappeared and now I'm unable to move my mouse. My test pc doesn't have an internet connection and I don't have any plans on connecting to the internet. Please advise if you've seen this before. Thanks.

Try to boot the live CD. Does it work? If not check your md5 checksums and see if your file is corrupted.

Might be the install or administrator needs password is hidden behind some other window. Use alt+tab to see if it is hidden.
