Question installing to an external HD


yes i have rtfm but none of them really explain how to install this way. do i go about installing the same way as normal and since there is an external hard drive attach will it detect it and will it give u the option through the normal Installation or do i have to go about doing this a different way. thanks ps. i am trying to do this with ubuntu

Hi GraphiteG4, Welcome to lq, I believe this guide pretty much covers it all. Just be careful during the selection for location for install, and where you install the boot loader and you should be fine.
