Installing TARs
I'm trying to install some tar files but after ./configure,
I get this: checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths! What does this mean? Using Mandrake Official 10.1 and KDE 3.2 Thanks in advance |
first what are some tar files? what are they? it sounds like you are missing -dev files.

knoda-0.8.1-test1.tar.bz2 and
tellico-1.1pre3.tar.gz |
it might be the qt-devel. I would do a search and see what dependencies you need. can't you just use mandrakes package installer? I know there are a bunch of mandrake repos out there

try this
look for XBASE Compartible C++ Class library, if it's not installed, install it, and also look for xorg-x11,xorg-x11-devel...........good luck
