Installing SW splitted onto 2 iso files

Hi,

Working on RHEL7. I have a SW with 2 iso files file1.iso (3.9 GB) and file2.iso (900 MB).

I tried to merge the 2 files using mkisofs that generates me file3.iso (4.1 GB).

When mounting the file3.iso file for installation, I am only geting my 2 iso files again but not the binaries for installation

How can I proceed plz ?

Br

Why do you feel you have to merge the two ISO's to install? Usually in cases like this one iso is the binary and the other is the source just incase you want to compile things yourself.

You would need to copy the contents of the two ISOs not the ISO files themselves into another directory then create your your file3.iso.

Install the system first, then you can install extra binaries either from your DVDs or by going online, using your package manager.
