Installing SuSE on an empty computer.

I am new to linux, my laptop has nothing on it at all, I want to install SuSE on it but I bought the CD at and therefore have none of the support from SuSE. Wut do I do after I put the CD in the drive?

Boot from the cd and follow the your cdrom bootable? or would you need a startup floppy to load installation program..?

i dunno, im sry, im brand new and linux cd doesnt come with instructions, the only thing that shows on my computer right now is the (ms-dos?) prompt, sry, dont no wut a startup floppy is, and when i restart it with the disk inside, it says "invalid system disk, replace the disk, and then press any key

it is a pentium one toshiba satellite 305/315 if this helps
