how the heck do you install a splash screen?????
I opened a konsole? window, got into root dir's but the damm thing wont let me extract into the dir. :(

and if I have to, how do you login as root to do this?

what exactly are you trying to do? extracting a file that contains a bootsplash theme?

I did su and logged into root but it wont let me install the 4 files

I believe I had to make a dir called "/.kde/apps/share/ksplash/pics"
which I did but the file wont unzip? and said "you dont have permission"
