Installing RedHAT linux on DELL inperion 620

Hello List

I am trying to install redhat enterprise linux version 5 on insperion 620 aFTER booting from SATA CDROM drive it comes to installation method, When I chose LOCAL CDROM it gives no driver found. It asks me to select thr driver disk
1) How to select driver disk (when I already have my linux bootable in CDROM Drive).

2) If I choose driver disk source a /dev/hda1 it does not get correct disk driver image.
(the disk drive images which are shown are command.com, dellbio.bin, dellrmk.bin, oobedone.flg and when selected gives the error "Failed to load driver disk from file")
Any help in this would be appreciative. Or if someone can direct me towards some documentation
Another question will the installation of redhat on dell inperion620 can be done or not.

Thanks
Renu Sharma

you could put RHEL5.7 on a 620
BUT it will cost you
RHEL is not free there is a $299USD PER YEAR REQUIRED support contract
Also the rhel5 series is a bit old .Is there a reason you can not use the current RHEL6.1 ?

so a $299 / year OS on a $350 computer ( yes there is a cheaper one BUT the standard IS GOOD )
https://www.redhat.com/apps/store/desktop/
http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-620/pd

you are paying for the support contract ,so have you read the install instructions ?
or asked your support rep ?

-- the rhel 5 install guide --
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Re...ide/index.html

If you do NOT intend on buying the REQUIRED RHN license then DO NOT use RHEL5

there are FREE rebuilds
"CentOS 6.1" and " Scientific linux 6.1 "

------ added ----
search the red hat knolage base for that error
the solution IS in there
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/search

your RHN username and pass IS required for the search ( the one you set up with the contract )
