Installing RedHat 9.0, but nothing happens

I'm attempting to install RedHat, but it stays on the "running anadonda, please wait" screen for ever... is this right or is there a problem?

is not normal. maybe you have a bad cd? did you buy the cd or downloaded the iso? I would try another cd

try running a media check on your disc. It would appear when you boot the CD. But there's a 98% chance that your media is bad for installation.

is this your First time with Linux? If you like redhat, maybe you could try a newer distro like Fedora Core 3 which is bound to have more/inproved hardware support for your components
