Installing red hat 7.2 on Elonex Lumina (cyrix cpu)

Hi all,

Newbie question I am afraid - but thanks in advance for any help.

I have recently come into posession of an old, but perfectly working Elonex
Lumina pc, with a Cyrix chip cpu. I also have the install discs for Red Hat
7.2.

However, when I try to install the o/s on the Lumina, the install freezes -
I have tried graphical/non-graphical installs, but nothing seems to work

Are there any known issues with installing 7.2 on a cyrix chip, (some one at
work thought he had heard of such), and if so, is it possible to overcome
them, as I would really love to get Linux working on this machine.

(It would be my way of me getting into Linux - I am not allowed to touch the wife's computer as she uses it for work, but its Windows!).

Thank you for any tips,
regards,
Gary
