Installing programs
I am pretty new to linux (Third day, only took me 3 hours to figure out everything to do it correctly) I so far, love it. I only use windows now for gaming. This leads into my question. I like to stay in contact with my friends on linux. I see theres aMSN out. This I downloaded from sourceforge . I cannot, install it however. It is located under file:/home/blake/Desktop/msn. I tried using nautilus to install it no luck. I tried from command line by typing, as root : tar -xvzf amsn-0_80.tar.gz. This gives me invalid file name/directory error I looked around a bit and it said I needed gnome libs. Why is this? How can I receive them? Any more tips/ideas for me? Thank you very much.
I love Linux! Its just a matter of learning it now. I figured it out all on my own. A little something called Wish8.3 hepled me :D |
