anything labeled i386 should work, anything labeled i586 or i686 has been tweaked to perform better w/newer processors. if it's a pentium II, stick w/i386 packages.

I'll do that. I'm gonna install Firefox 0.8 with that end i386. Like that I learn to install programs in Linux. Later I try with Xine. Thank you again and have a nice weekend, PEACEDOG.

Your architecture is probly 586. It doesn't really matter aslong as it isn't higher that ur current version like 686 or 786 programs won't run on it. Ussaully the versions just say 386.
