installing printer drivers

Now using suse 11.2 and setting up a new printer Brother hl2142. Have downloaded the drivers and now seeking the easiest way to obtain/ install the printer drivers All help appreciated. thanks all

You need proper ppd driver for your printer type and restart cups.

Please refer below for instructions:

Earlier I had downloaded my ppd file from, but this site seems to be obsolete.

you could try the foomatic package. It might work for you.
