installing openmotif on fedora

Hi,

I want to install openmotif on fedora19. searching "motif" with yum it gives me: motif-devel.x86_64
but, trying to install it, I get the following error:

Quote:
file /usr/share/man/man3/XmToggleButtonGadget.3.gz from install of motif-devel-2.3.4-5.fc19.x86_64 conflicts with file from package lesstif-devel-0.95.2-5.fc19.x86_64

Error Summary
-------------
I will be glad to receive your comments.

I'm surprised they have Motif now. Several years ago I installed Lesstif on Fedora because their philosophy didn't allow Motif because it didn't meet the Fedora standard for "open". Maybe it does now.

Anyway Lesstif is a package that has a library that does what the one in Motif does so you can only have one or the other installed as they both try to install the same library. I found Lesstif satisfied the requirements I had at the time. (Oracle software wanted Motif but only really wanted the library so was happy using Lesstif's library instead.)

You either need to use Lesstif for your purpose and NOT install Motif -OR- Remove Lesstif then install Motif in its place.
