Installing new themes

Hello,

I want to install this theme on my laptop :http://gnome-look.org/content/show.p...352b26ec4d5f49 (I'm using arch and Gnome). When I drag the .tar.gz file to the Appearances Menu, there's a message saying the theme is correctly installed, but here's what I get:

Clearly there's a problem with the GTK theme (I think I'm missing an GTK engine, but which one?), and also with metacity ! (look at the close buttons, there's a sort of squarish corner there).

Thanks for any help

seeing as this is a ubuntu theme
Did you install the ubuntu icons ?
there is a warning for me that they are missing " 'ubuntu-mono-dark' is not installed"

Any derivative works of Ambiance are based on the Murrine GTK engine. So, you will need to compile it first. After that, you will be able to run the theme just fine.

@John VV : Yes there was this warning for me too, so I installed the mono-dark icon theme. Now the warning's gone, but I still can't run this theme.

@Kenny_Strawn : I have gtk-engine-murrine 0.90.3-1 installed. Or are there other murrine engines?

Hi I'm back.

First of all I removed gnome and installed xfce instead, working great, apart from this same problem : some themes won't show up.

I ran in a terminal, and here's what i get:
Code:

/home/amaury/.themes/AmbianceRefinedII/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:110: error: unexpected identifier `arrowstyle', expected character `}'
Here's the gtkrc file:

It's in the murrine engine section, so I guess the problem comes from here. But I have murrine engine installed. Any ideas?
