Installing new software in Fedora Linux 9
 

Dear all,

I have installed Fedora 9 Linux. I am unable to install the software with Package Installer. When I login as "root" and double click on any software to "Open with Package Installer", I get error "you don't have priviledge". Also I get error when I click Add/Remove Programs, "path not found repository, repomd.xml".
Please help.

Open a terminal, login as root using
'su -'
Then run the following:
'yum update'
Post your errors.

You need to be connected to the Internet for newer packages & updates.
