installing new kernel


i have tried o update form kernel version of 2.4.80 to 2.6.6 .
after all the process i got error message of
kernel panic root=\no parametr

You have probably broken you boot loader configuration. Please post your new lilo.conf or grub.conf file here.

And if you canīt boot up at all you might want to use the second slackware cd to boot up and then mount your slackware partition to see your lilo.conf
