Installing ndiswrapper on Kubuntu 11.04 to Broadcom BCM318
I have made the switch on my other laptop from win7 to kubuntu 11.04 which the internet currently does not work on. I am on my other laptop and have tried to install ndis wrapper from a USB drive to the laptop with kubuntu.
I have been reading the guides to install the repositories for ndiswrapper but still can't do it. Any help is appreciated, thank you |
Can you connect to the internet using the ethernet port?
What are you using to install ndiswrapper? |
Yes I have been using my ethernet to install ndiswrapper. I have gotten the driver and installed it but don't know what to do next, or how to enable it. Here are my current configs:
iwconfig lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. diswrapper -l WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist, it will be ignored in a future release. bcmwl5 : driver installed device (14E4:4319) present (alternate driver: ssb) lspci 06:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce 54g] 802.11a/b/g PCI Express Transceiver (rev 02) 06:06.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) wlan0 wlan0: command not found I am pretty lost as what to do know, I have added my info to wireless tab on network interfaces but I don't know whether or not my wireless is enabled.. |
