i just downloaded all the files from the red hat ftp server and burnt them to a cd and my main concern is with the kernel-source-2.4.20-6.i386.rpm which im assuming would be the kernel source which i need to install so i could install my ethernet card drivers. how to i go about installing it, and is there any way to install all the others at once? im very new to linux. thanks

"is there any way to install all the others at once? "

I recommend against a mass install of everything on that CD. I suggest that you work in the following sequence:

Install Red Hat 9 from the Dummies install CDs.
Get that working OK
Then you can install any of the rpms from your supplemental CD that you want. For example if you desperately needed to communicate with KDE in Czech you could do the following:
mount the cd (probably on /mnt/cdrom)
rpm -i /mnt/cdrom/kde-i18n-Czech-3.1-2.noarch.rpm

hehe yea actually those are the ones that i didnt install...but in order for me to install my ethernet drivers i need to install the kernel source. i did that last night and had to install the kernel along with it cause it said there was a version mismatch....i think im just gonna go ahead and reinstall linux and start from scratch...
