Installing methods
I am having a lot of trouble installing Fedora Core 55 from cd. It keeps stopping at 'Glibc'
What other ways can I install it? - hopefully not involving downloading another 3GB. (I'm getting awefully close to the 10GB limit and the months not over yet.) Any help would be Greatly appreciated. |
what error do u get?
make sure what u downloaded is complete. md5sum does just that. |
Ive checked the discs and they are correct.
I dont get an error, the installation just freezes and wont go any further. |
I have had this problem a few times, but it was with Ubuntu and Debian.
Try partitioning your drives as a different file system. I did that, and the error i was getting with Ubuntu dissapeared Also try running a disk scan *fsck*. This is like MS;s chkdsk. if the instalation comes across a bad part of the drive, it can mess up |
try minimal install first. checkout any packages thats giving the problem (glibc) when you chose packages to install.
