Installing Mandrake from HD

I've been looking into getting linux for quite some time and I think I'm finally up to the task. The only problem is, I ripped out my floppy drive and my cd-burner is out of commision. Being a striving student in college funds are low and I cant afford to buy a new burner.

My question is...Is there a possible way to install mandrake from another Hard Drive? Like have my BIOS read HD2 like it would a CD? Or if thats not possible another way to do it. And please be specific in directions like stated I'm a . =D
Thanks for your time..
