Installing Mandrake 9.0- from hard drive

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry if I didnt post this in the right forum:
I dont have a CD burner, and downloaded the Mandrake 9.1/i586 distribution. What I need to know is how to install the OS from my Windows XP hard drive. Im REALLY tired of windows, and after using linux a few times, I figured how ugly, clunky, and full of errors windows really was.

in the files you downloaded there will be a folder which says dosutils. in that there will be a program called winrawwrite. use that and make a bootable disk with hd image. and then boot from it.

Thanks anyways, but I already tried that. I "rawrite"-ed hd.img to the disk, and when I restart my comp, nothing happens.
