Installing Mandrake 10 on XP system

Hi,
I've been reading previous posts and I just wanted to be sure I am clear on this.
I currently have Windows XP Pro installed on C: and on D: (I choose which to boot with right after Bios, using Windows XP's included boot loaded)
I have a Promise Technology ATA Raid Controller. I have 3 physical harddrive partitioned as follows:

HDD 0 - C: Primary partition 18GB (installed with WinXP)
HDD 0 - D: Extended (Logical) partition 18GB (installed with 2nd copy of XP)
HDD 1 - H: Primary (full drive) 160GB (used for video.)
HDD 2 - I : Extended (Logical) partition 12GB (Free)
HDD 2 - j : Primary partition 18GB (Free)

All partitions ar FAT32

I just want to be sure that if I install Mandrake 10.1 onto drive partition I (I asume I can let linux repartition drive I for use with linux.). I MUST still be able to use both Windows OPs allready installed. I would also like to keep using Windows' default boot loader and not mess with lilo or even BootIt.

Will I be safe doing this?
Thank you,
Sephen

looks fine to me. Verify your checksums if you have not yet done so and then go ahead with the installation

Actually I just tried installing on my 12GB drive. It installed and all went fine except that it doesnt boot using Lilo. Windows still boots because of the XP bootloader. I will do some reasearch but do you know how I would resolve this so as to use XP bootloader to boot linux or if I have to to use Lilo to boot XP.
Thanks
Stephen

Would it have anything to do with the drive I installed it on? I installed on the 12GB drive which is an extended partition, not primary. Would that matter? Also, I have the ATA controller. Would that have an effect?
I read in other posts to try to reinstall the lilo bootloader. I tried via "Rescue" but I got the following error:

------
...About to reinstall boot loader...
Added Linux*
Added Linux-nonfib
Added Windows
Added Windows1
Added Windows2
Added Failsafe
Added Alt_Windows1
Added Alt_Windows2
Fatal: open /dev/sda1: No such device or address

Program exited abnormally (Return Code 11)
------

What should I try next?

Thanks,
Stephen
