I am trying to install mint on a lenovo x220. The usb booted fine and It went through the whole install. When I tried to restart it it goes through a boot loop on boot agent something or another. When I go back into bios and select the hdd it still does the same thing. When it does the real agent it says media failedI tried to boot from the usb again and no dice, I feel like I may have messed up my bios or something(v 1,28). Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time dealing with UEFI as my last laptop was a Dell Latitude E6400 and did not have this.

One thing not mentioned is that you have to be sure that your USB Mint is booted in UEFI mode, not Legacy (CSM).
To do that, before you install, open a terminal and run the command:
Code:
[ -d /sys/firmware/efi ] && echo "Currently in EFI mode" || echo "Currently in Legacy mode"
