Installing Linux Mail Server in a Windows 2003 AD

I have an Windows 2003 AD domain. I want to get rid of exchange mail server in favor of Linux mail server, (Postfix) using CentOS distribution. My question is how do i access old mailboxes in exchange, how do i join this linux mail server to windows AD, and make authentication work across the domain containing linux? Thanks.

you do not access the old mailboxes from exchange, as far as i know.

also visit http://www.jms1.net for some great information about configuring a mail server in CentOS.

Why not install something like Zimbra (www.zimbra.com) and use the Exchange Migration wizard to get your mail onto the new server. It does depend what you want in a mail server but Zimbra is an excellent product.
