I just spend 60 dollars on Lindows and can't get it to work. I can get the bonus CD to work though. I would really like to get the real version to work.

kernel panic: no init found try passing init= option to kernel
and it just hang there.
I have two more hard drive on my PC and it though it might be a problem. I unplugged both of them and still having trouble.

I installed it. Boot from CDrom. use entire hard drive. follow the instruction on screen remove the disc and reboot and got this
message on screen kernel panic: no init found try passing init= option to kernel
I figured it out. I finally get it to installed. What I did was partioning it with Partition magic 7 as a linux drive.
May be Lindows should look into incorporated that into their system. Instead of trying to make it look fancy like Windows XP.
Concentrate on the compatability and easy to install issue. Thanks for your help.
No as far as I know you have to shell out the cash for it. Also I've heard more bad things about it than good so go for RH or Mandrake if your looking for a distro, especially if its your first.
Hope that helps,
edit: you may be able to find a download link from google, but i believe they will be on warez or other nasty pirate sites and NOT supported by the people behind lindows.
