Cool Installing libX11.a library in Red Hat linux

Dear All

I am interested to install libX11.a library in my workstation which has Red Hat Linux system. I am wondering if an one can answer my following questions:
Where can I find and download this library (libX11.a) from internet?
Where can I install it in my workstation?
Is there procedures for installing and compiling this library in my system?

I do appreciate your help

The library you want is included in the xorg-x11-devel package. So use your package manager and install it from your installation cds.

I did an advanced search at rpmsearch and it suggested this.
For Red Hat 9 you need XFree86-devel-4.3.0-2
There were no hits with Red Hat EL

suggests to rebuild the libX11-1.x.x-x.src.rpm (rpmbuild)
with libX11.a

or to use updated code, not linking against libX11.a

and explains why libX11.a is not included in RH any more.
