Installing Kernel Headers for SUSE Linux 9.2
I have a quick question for hte forum, I am really new to linux. I have worked with Windows since the early 90's so it's all I know. I installed Suse Linux 9.2 on my laptop. I want to use the onboard wireless card that came with the laptop. Unforturnately Broadcom is the maker of the wireless card so they do have a driver for linux. I found NDISWRAPPER and downloaded it but when i try a install it I get a error message basically saying the kernel headers are not install.
My question is how do I install kernel headers or is this something that was suppose to install during installation? Could someone please help me, I have no clue...

Hi!
Welcome to LQ.org. I think they meant the kernel sources. If you are using SuSE Pro, start YaST2 and install kernel-source package. If you have the personal version of SuSE, you need to go to their homepage, download the kernel-source package from a mirror ftp-server and install it (huge file, mind you). Some links to help you in your path:
Installing programs in Linux, from source or rpm's:

Configuring YaST to take care of dependencies:

Good place to download rpm's:

Best regards!
