installing itunes on ubuntu with terminal codes

my ubuntu recently upgraded to kubuntu. I am trying to install itunes thru the terminal. The first step was, install wine with the synaptic package manager...(done) next step was, 6. Download the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com (today it is iTunes 9.2) or download one of previous versions from www.oldapps.com if the latest one poses problems or just refuses to install under wine emulator (this happens so be prepared for this situation).
now, when i try to download itunes from www.apple.com, my download finishes, but does nothing. So what i usually do is open my terminal and input the codes and finish what im doing, but i cant seem to find any codes. Could someone please help me with the codes?

Apple has made the business decision not to support iTunes on Linux.

I suggest using one of the many fine open-source music apps such as Rhythmbox or Amarok. Or use Windows/Mac if you are attached to iTunes.

I don't own an iphone, but there is a page about the iphone on the Ubuntu wiki:

Installing (rather, attempting to install) iTunes with Wine is almost guaranteed to fail; just look at its page on WineHQ.
