Installing gtk+-2.6.0
Hello,I'm having problems when trying to install software on a Linux PC. At the moment I'm trying to install gtk+-2.6.0 in the hope that it will enable me to install The GIMP.
The text below show the error message I recieve when trying to configure gtk, but as I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this sort of thing, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me! Any ideas? I have installed glib-2.60, but still get the error message. ............................START OF MESSAGE........................................ checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.7.0... Package atk was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `atk.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'atk' found configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.7.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. .............................END OF MESSAGE.................................... Any help you can offer will be greaty appreciated, Cheers, Dom. |
