Installing GCC over existing gcc in Redhat linux
 
Hi All..

Currently I have gcc 3.4.5. I need to install gcc version 3.4.2. Can anyone help me out in installing and setting the path ..

Anisha, Redhat Linux has multiple versions, not a single version.

Of course I know that, but you asked for the "distribution", 7.1 is the version, not the distribution, but yes I must apologize for being "pedantic" :D

Why are you using an outdated version of Redhat ? You should try latest Redhat Enterprise version or alternative with fedora or centos.

As I have to work on some drivers... It is compatible to this Version as of now.. so I need to use the same version... plz provide me suggestion for installing GCC....

You installed GCC 3.4.5 from source or from rpm or it was in redhat 7 ?

It was installed in redhat.....
