Installing GCC on Lycoris
This is my first post here, and I'm pretty new to Linux. So far, from what I've seen from Lycoris Desktop/LX, I like it.
I just have one problem though, and that's GCC. I can't do ./confgure because GCC isn't installed. I've tried to install it manually, but it just confused the brains out of me, so I'm wondering if there are any RPM pre-compiled installers for Lycoris (I believe it's built on Calidra or something :/ ). Any feedback would be great!! Thanks guys :) Fox13 |

I had a look there, but I can't seem to find an RPM for Lycoris. Are there any other places I might be able to find this file? (Thanks for replying so quickly :))
I have tried to install GCC manually, but I had no luck. Being a complete Linux newbie - I had no Idea what the hell I was doing, despite reading the help files! Problems seem to come in when I type in srcdir/configure [perameters] I just get: bash: scrdir: command not found Any help would be great! |
I found this thread and it says that gcc can be found on cd 3 of the Lycoris install.
