installing gcc


respected sir/madam'
i'm working on a project on embedded linux.out target system is ARM processor.these are the problems that we face durg the development of tool chain.
error in giving "make" command in binutils

Configuring in libiberty
configure: loading cache ./config.cache
configure: error: `target_alias' has changed since the previous run:
configure: former value:
configure: current value: i386-linux
configure: error: changes in the environment can compromise the build
configure: error: run `make distclean' and/or `rm ./config.cache' and start over
make: *** [configure-libiberty] Error 1
please give solution for this error
