Installing from non rpm in Mandrake 10.0

Hey there, im new in linux, and i know this sounds noobish, but i need some help..

I only know how to install from the rpm files. (double click and so on)

But what do i have to do when i shall install from another file?

I got an "sh" file. Someone told me to install it from a terminal, but i dont know how to navigate to the file? Can someone help me? I need to know what to type in my terminal!

My file is in this directory:

file:/home/blazta/Desktop/Install Files/CrossOver/install-crossover-standard-demo-3.0.1.sh

Thx alot.. I will check my thread tomorrow, couse i gotta go out now.

Hoping for some good answers :P

what do you mean "nothing"? is there an error. i'm guessing the directory "Install Files" is incorrect because theres a space in the title. check everything and try again.

you don't need to take a screenshot, just copy (or type out) the error(s) when you try this.

I changed the name of install files to "files"

When i try it, this comes out:

[blazta@localhost blazta]$ cd /home/blazta/Desktop/Files/CrossOver/
[blazta@localhost CrossOver]$ ./install-crossover-standard-demo-3.0.1.sh
bash: ./install-crossover-standard-demo-3.0.1.sh: Permission denied
[blazta@localhost CrossOver]$
