Installing firefox-1.0

I´m trying to install firefox-1.0PR-1mcnl.i586.rpm but i cant. It requires gtk+2. Is there a program that would automaticly install gtk+2 or firefox and would take care of other dependencies? I´m using apt and yum but they have only old packages what i already have installed.

apt and yum do not 'only have old packages' -- they do not actually have any packages... those come from the repositories you use. see about updating those, and you should be able to find the packages you need.

Is it possible to add rpm.pbone.net or rpmfind to apt or yum repositories?

@hotpepsi

Try using tar files, instead of rpms becz. it will keep asking u about dependencies and as fullfill on req. it will ask for anothere.....

So, use the tar/buzip files

No, it isn't. These are search engines like Google or others. Try to learn about installing software in Linux, go to Google Linux, search for "software installation howto". You will get a loads of useful links, just read the docs because you'll be in trouble without this knowledge.
Now to your specific question: read this guide to understand how to compile a GTK, install it and then get a Firefox installer from Firefox site and install it. There is installation instructions inside every package too... Good luck.
