rogermark100 LQ Newbie Registered: Apr 2004 Posts: 1 Rep:	Installing Fedora on a western digital 120GB external Hi all, I have a Laptop which allows for booting off a USB device, I have a western Digital 120GB hard drive USB 2.0 external, I have a copy of Fedora, I wish to merge the 3 items. I have heard that some distro's detect the external drive, I am not sure if Fedora does this as it doesn't detect mine BUT this could be because i am stupid and have done something wrong (I nearly formatted the laptops internal drive - if you dont believe me on the stupidity point). If Fedora doesnt allow this could you suggest a distro to use or a way to get this to work. The reason I am putting it on an external drive is not for portability as i know this wont work BUT I am not wanting to change anything on the Laptop as it is not mine to change the Hard drive partitions. Any help much appreciated.
