installing FC3 from a hard drive

i don't want to burn CD's. i plan to download the iso's of FC3 and save them in a certain partition which i want to leave unchanged during the installation. can i install FC3 in another partition using these saved iso's ?

Yes but... As long as the partition is formated ext2/3 of vfat your ok. I assume FC3 is no different then FC2. The other problem is that due to the size of the kernel there isn't a boot floppy image anymore. Fedora provides an boot image for CD or USB drive.
So you might have to burn the 1st CD anyway.
